• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

This was told to me by a trusted inside CS contact (who shall remain un named)

Interesting that it has not shown up in photos anywhere, on OUT THERE tour, studio rehearsals, or in any photos. He plays them as a rule. Are we talking a clone? Rumors of THE BASS clone is another story
..

Also curious if both sidemen (Rusty and Brian) are now in possession of real Lesters as reported?

Will put out a few more feelers through the camp, Nashville, and Memphis. If there is a Macca burst RI that would be cool IMHO.

I will try to get additional details, but this was many years ago, not recently. This was 2005 when I saw him play (he used a sunburst Les Paul which was clearly not his original '60) and was told that guitar I saw him playing was most likely the one made for him circa 2000 by the CS.

I'd have to think that is the one that I saw then, and the Historic made by the CS. Only way I knew it was not his original '60 was exactly that - the dark spot by the neck.

Yes, GT in studio.

Yes, both Rusty and Brian use Div X.

Ray uses BTR 23 model (Sig)

What's your hurry?
Paul will merely be a spry seventy-four in June.

I know that Brian (and Rusty) have reissues from the runs that Vic DaPra spearheaded, from the Custom Shop.
Wonder if that's what Brian's playing.

I'd love to see Paul, again (last time was in '93!), if only I could swing those ticket prices.
Plenty of time until August, though, so... who knows?!

I just heard from Brian Ray and the answer is..

" it's my new Rick Nielsen 59 custom shop signature.. great guitar... same pickups as my SG, with the Gibson Custom Buckers"
