• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Is it common to see "upside down" silk-screens on leftys? Also, notice the Dave Grohl model Rusty's playing. I've been seeing more pros recently playing this model.

Damn, that's two eggs.

So, the 3 bursts are the only lefty models that have upside-down silk screening? No other models?

Nah, was just takin' the piss after the Trini Lopez thing. That's no big deal, more common is when someone hears a song covered and assumes it's the original version. The Dave Grohl is a "cover" of the Trini Lopez guitar!

There were three original lefty burts. IIRC, they have upside down screens (when played left hand). I'm sure there are more upside down leftys. All the leftys done with silkscreen--up until about 1973 when they switched to decals which could easily be flipped over for leftys.

Also inconsistent on leftys are the position markers on the binding. Some have both sides, some on the "bottom" side and some have both.
