Toggle Tip Question

Hi all,

I've replaced the plastic toggle tip on my '79 Custom with a gold one. It looks great and I quite like the feel as well. But, it keeps loosening. Obviously, plastic flexes so it self tightens on the threads while metal won't do that.

My question, is there anything (some type of non-permanent glue) that I can use that won't create a giant mess and won't forever lock the tip to the switch?

Thanks!

metal to metal, there is no permanent glue. Use whatever you want. it will come off.

Best is to lightly crimp the threads with a wire cutter.

Paint the threads with clear nail polish/varnish and then thread on the cap. That should hold it and you’ll still be able to swap it out if you want.

White Elmer's will be adequate. It's strong enough to secure a bone nut.

I'd use a dab of white glue. It is water soluble, so completely removable.
