If I were right-handed.........bang, zoom!
Sorry Elliot- I had a feeling that one would get you.

Currently up on gbase, a 1969 ES-150D. This is the first one I've ever seen in cherry:
It's always a bit surprising to see a 60's Gibson in sparkling burgundy that hasn't faded or started to turn that golden color from the metallic content of the paint. I just came across this '68 345 on ebay. Looks like it's barely been touched, let alone played. It's being offered by Olivia's, which means there are a ton of great photos:

This just turned up on the Gibson forums. The serial number is from 1963, and the label says ES-355. Another mystery guitar, and I love it. I actually fantasized about something like this and did a drawing of something almost exactly like this back in the 1980's. The unfortunate thing here is that the guitar has been modded and a bit abused (head/neck break). Here's the Gibson thread: http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/119581-weird-1962-gibson-es355td/
Anybody ever seen anything like this?
After seeing J45's pictures of his red hollowbodies in another thread, I was inspired to start a thread on these red beauties. Please add any pictures you may have of factory red Gibsons from the 50s and 60s.
I'm not really talking about the common examples like cherry SGs and ES-335s, I'm talking about models that don't usually come in red, or custom examples like Sparkling Burgandy, Cardinal Red...
I'll start with a few:
The music isn't for me.....
Not really a "good watch(/listen)" for me, but to each their own. And note that I didn't say "Guys, make sure you turn the sound off when you watch this one". :##Besides the cool custom Gibson, the video also contains a pretty bitchin pedal steel solo. It's a good watch even if you aren't a fan of late 60's cosmopolitan "country" music.
Brian.
