I want to clarify my position here. Some have said [on and off the web] that I am supporting this guitar as being the real deal.
I am, in no way saying or meaning that I think, in my opinion, that it is real. I am not saying either way, mainly because I am not an expert, and I have virtually no Korina experience beyond Gibson steel guitars [and my recent JG Dotmaster].
I have seen statements I do not agree with and have tried to make my points, but I am a poor wordsmith.
I know far too many of the characters in this thread and many of those who aren't members. I know whose opinions I trust, but I am not making a statement about whether this guitar is real or not.

I do feel it would be better not handled the way it has been here. Too much childish BS mixed with attempts at seriousness.
Good luck to most readers to make sense of what has been written here.

And finally, I wish I had my stolen Explorer back, just to have a few people mentioned to figure out if it was a real one. Gone almost 30 years, I will likely never know.
Think I'll stick with Les Pauls. :salude

Truth be told.., there are about a dozen people in the world who buy stuff of this magnitude. About half of them are name checked or are directly involved with this thread. Yet the guitar is on EBAY. Tells ya what you need to know about the guitar right there. Type in caps.... Shout or play dumb. Mr Gruhn got it right a year ago.

That line hasn't changed, no matter how many times you type some fantasy version of events. We talked twice on the phone, 46 minutes the last time (on my coin), and this is what you got both times. Ditto via numerous texts.

You didn't ask me for his cell number (which I wouldn't have shared), but pressed me for the number of a UK member here because he'd posted about the guitar and said some funny shit. Priorities man!

Here's a wheeze. Let's create an authentication scenario so bizarre that it could never happen. Rather than seeking quiet counsel from the genuinely knowledgable korina guys, as would have been easy and has been advised, let's instead invite a cast of thousands knowing it won't happen, then we can blame "them". While we're at it, we may as well tell them to pay their own way. Then you suggest I pay Richard's flight. You invite a bunch of people to Long Island to compare guitars, but won't call the guy who owns the guitars. You'll be charging for entry next, come see the bearded lady.

Before this grand scheme, you said everybody was going up to Joe B's place to do the same thing. What happened? Did Joe know about that plan?

As for "pussing out", I've told you I'll come, for shits and giggles. Won't mean anything in the greater scheme of things as I've told you on here and on the phone I don't know these guitars from a hole in my ass. Remember, I'll need a flight and a hotel (pre-paid, irrevocable and I don't travel coach).

I've talked to Clive & Graham and they are willing to fly to N.Y. to meet John and have Perry ID. this guitar as John has said Perry's seen it and matched it up to the many that Perry owns. How about this, why don't you come up with a reasonable and realistic idea. At the end of the day, IF it's not Graham's guitar, and IF Clive has no stake in it, and IF you have bought it for REAL money (as you are claiming, although some of your friends say otherwise), then you should be the one who goes. ALONE. It's got nothing to do with MAX, CLIVE. GRAHAM, RICK, SEAN, or SCOTT. It's your guitar, your ass, your reputation.

If YOU own the guitar, and you are selling the guitar then the RESPONSIBILITY is on you to KNOW what that thing is. Not rely on the word of others. That's putting the responsibility on others. And it's exactly what MUSIC GROUND did with Peter. "Oh sorry Peter, we didn't know it was a fake? Clive said it was real? Bharat said it was real? Johan said it was real? You were happy?
