Gary, have you forgotten what it's like here in the UK, OK the north of the U.K. a where a few of us try to eke out a living. It frickin' cold up here man. Ourmaninthenorth has the inside scoop on the situation has he's been to see the toothless soothsayer in the tap room of the Olde Man and Scythe over two halves of Black and Tan. The word is, summer will be on a Thursday this year, in late July. On this day, my testicles will appear and I'm afraid Mrs Twit will have me locked in the bedroom for the day for our annual lard rubdown and mating, followed by 2 woodbines, two IPA's and a fish supper. I think it's how you represent them.

I have a replica, it's a fantastic guitar. I made sure I posted on the net about it, including pics and serial number, and always refer to it as a replica. That way, no one in the future can misrepresent the guitar.

Now, if I had been shrewd/dishonest (take your pick), I could have kept quiet, beavered away, sourced all the necessary original parts and represented it as an original. Then, in my opinion, it becomes a fake.

And if I was marketing a fake, I would have to keep firm and not waiver from my story for even one instant, otherwise the veil would drop and I would be revealed as a fraud.

I really like good replicas, I really dislike fakes. It is that clear to me.

We may have to wait until next weeks episode to find out.

I've talked to the script writers, apparently they have written me out, I'm going to die in a tragic accident whilst attempting to restring a fake guitar with 13's. The headstock flies off and hits me square between the eyes. The postmortem reveals junior studs in my body and a failed widows peak. No way I could have survived.

(That's my Mrs H, not yours) Anyway, Ted Nugent and the pope had breakfast together earlier today, and although the off-putting sight of the runny egg on the pope's face killed Ted's appetite, he did manage to swallow a good few morsels. Anyway, Ted can't make the BBQ but he did say the pope was pissed. He said something about being hoodwinked into writing some letters by two LYING LIMEYS, (paraphrased, Ted's words, not the pope's) and he want's em back as was promised. Anyway I'm glad the guitar is yours and not Jim Irsay's, but you should give him a call because he buys stuff like this. So I've been led to believe.

It just looks bad! If it is a real Explorer, then its a shame that it gets the stink of past transgressions of its former handlers. Its provenance only points to fakery....C'mon. It just doesn't make sense that whoever owns or owned a real, authentic vintage piece of history. Did not go thru the trouble of keeping it clear of anybody that is not 100% honorable.This guitars past is surrounded by the cast of the Music Ground cesspool. Too bad! You don't lay with shit and smell like a rose. And then there is Eric's extremely damaging picture. Certainly you all have heard the term " Everyone's an asshole unless proven otherwise". This mindset filtered into the collectible markets years ago.
