UK LPF Meet. 7th November 2015.

Following on from this thread..

http://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/s...K-Hang-Nicky-amp-Murphy&p=2656814#post2656814

Rich and I thought it might be a good idea to see if there was any interest in the UK lads maybe meeting up on a semi regular basis, for a natter, bit of playing, and a general social gathering...nothing at all formal or really organised, other than a day and a date.

Rich has kindly offered a free, soundproofed rehearsal space for us to play at volume, located in Stockport (literally just off the M60), ample secure parking...all we need really. If we all drag an amp and/or a guitar over it'd be even more interesting. Saturday would be the day.

Perhaps we could have a show of hands to gauge if this is a go-er? Up to now we have Richard, Rob, Miserneil, and myself.

Anyone else fancy it, all are welcome. :salude

Paul.

Sounds great, but I'm too far away. Would anyone be interested in doing something similar in the south east/London area?

As a newcomer I'd be happy to join in something in the south east. I live in Kent

Southerners don't travel north of Watford. :hee

It's 2 hours direct from London to Stockport on the train. Happy to organise transport from and back to the station for anyone wishing to travel that way.

I reckon I can rustle up a couple of bursts for the day too.

2 hours is fine - it's the £160 train fare that puts me off. Money I'd rather add to my burst fund :)

But if there's going to be a couple of bursts there it's very tempting!

Ah Pip that's no good mate, just this very day I dropped some bribe dough on the border guards at Watford Gap for you...I don't think they do refunds..:laugh2::laugh2:

I certainly will Neil! Would be good to see you!

Fraid I can't offer much in terms of 'heavyweights', but I can bring the juniors and my '62 345 to the party :salude

This sounds like an excellent idea. Are there any possible dates floating around?

Where's my mate Rob Livesey? He's a Manchester Lad! (Although, technically he lives in Accrington). You lot are so lucky as a 2 or 3 hour trip is nothing. Live here where it's a 5 hour plane ride from L.A. To New York City or a 5 hour drive from L.A. To San Francisco...
Hey.. Could be worse, you could live in Blackpool..:rofl:rofl

They're plenty heavyweight in my book Woody, most important thing you can bring is yourself, that's what this is about really...:peace2:salude

I was thinking about a month from now to give everyone plenty of notice and get organised. What about Saturday the 24th October 2015?

How does that sound?
