• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Will do! I was actually near there last year. I stopped in at the Superstroke head office since I was so close by just to tell them how much I liked their putter grips.

That IS close!!
I live right around the corner LOL.

I did live closer to Detroit, but the commute was killing me.

Let me know, and I can set something up..you can PM me with details when the time comes.:salude

The shape of those knobs does look like Fender amp knobs to me, even if the lettering does not quite match the one(s) I see on my old 64-69 Twins & Deluxes (but there were different styles/batches with subtile differences even between my amps so I could imagine those were again another style).

I don't think I have never seen a mid/late 60's Fender amp knob with lettering. Got a photo? :hmm

As a guy born and raised in Detroit and remembering Ted from his Amboy Dukes days, I thoroughly enjoyed that video. :dude:

Sorry Tom my sentence was not clear, I meant the "numbering" :) or to be more specific, the look/shape of the font of the numbers engraved on the knobs.
When looking back at some photos I see different font / look of the numbers between my 64 Twin Reverb and later 68/69 Twin Reverb and Deluxe Reverb, both styles still not being exactly the same as the knobs on Ted's LP above.

It was 99% unscripted too.

He he knew in his head what he wanted to talk about, we had an idea of what songs I'd be calling out and I had the idea of him pulling up in his truck but that's it.

Once the camera was running he just started talking and playing.

Nope. I've not even seen it. It's not been in Michigan when I've been there.

TAC, many thanks for the info on Ted's Bursts. Would you happen to know if they still sport their original serial numbers in the back of the headstock?

Yep.

And no, I'm not posting them. Lol.

Though I'll say the '59 is a low serial number and the '58 is a mid number for that year.

It'd be nice for Julio to post them to the Burst Serial Database. :salude

Burstserial.com also helps preserve the history and integrity of this era of guitars. It is a good thing! I would encourage Ted to list them.

Talking about their specs or pics...no prob. But it's not my place to be giving out the serial numbers.
