• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Now, if only Gibson would do a CC or artists run of Snowy's GT I'd be in like Flynn.
I love the look of that guitar but I believe that degree of aging would be pretty tough to replicate. There would be guys on here complaining that their copy 's headstock wasn't crusty enough. Or too crusty. They'd have to offer Thin Crust, Medium Crust and Lite Crust.

Sorry if I came off too strongly.
I spoke to Snowy several times this weekend. I know why he's doing it, and it's a personal matter [and not worthy of extended speculation].
I'm sad too, and I am a more recent fan.

I think the best scenario might be that it ends up with someone who uses it [famous or not].
Make your bids if you want it. :hank

Well said. It would be nice if it continued it's life played in front of people, rather than sit in a glass case.

I could make a bid, but I wont. It would always feel like it's Snowy's guitar and not mine.......

I'd like to chime in with the fact that Snowy was just a real pleasure to talk with as well.

My wife (the guitar player in the family) and I met him in the Heritage room, and he was generous with his time, answering lots of questions about life on tour, and the guitar as well as others.

Afterwards, my wife said to me that she wished she had asked him about a specific part of a song from "The Wall", and how to play it.

That afternoon, as she was sitting in a friends booth, I was walking and saw Snowy nearby. I approached him, thanked him again for the time he had spent with us, and related how my wife wished she had asked about the song.

He immediately asked where she was, and I pointed over an aisle to her. He walked over, and said to her that "it was all over the show that she needed a guitar lesson" and proceeded to take a guitar that was in the booth and show her the section!

Pure class IMHO.

Snowy said the same thing when I asked him about Peter Green offering his Burst to him.

A true gentleman, a class act. :salude

Well, I guess it's been long enough since the show to spill the beans. :wah

It's a joke. :ganz

Snowy liked G.I.Paul and we had fun taking photos. I have some where we hold our own GTs.
Snowy is a great guy! :dude:

Who was the original owner? I was told the guitar got the neck broken some years ago and is repaired. Snowy kept it in it´s case all the time until it was time to play after that.
