My second HM is a 2014 R8 RDS that I picked up a couple years ago. This one is solid but lightweight at 8.2 lbs. Believe me, it plays and sounds as good as it looks:

My two HMs have subtle figuring, but they are wonderful guitars to play. :dude:

2014 R8 (Gen G. Washington) on the bottom, and a 2007 Chambered CR8 on top.



Here are a couple of videos of both HMs in action at a friend's house.


On this vid, I used the 2014 R8 for the rhythm and middle solo, and then I dubbed in the intro and outro solos with the CR8. There's not really any discernible difference in tone between the guitars so no reason to switch, I just happen to have both of them there. The amp is a Fender Blues Junior with a Helix modeler between it and the guitar:

8 lbs 2009 R9 historic makeover.
Wonderful sounding and feeling guitar.
Dynamic top and looks plain at certain angles, which pleases my non-flashy tastes.

Would love to have a goldtop and black beauty by Kim & Co.
