• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

You are right. That paint job has NOTHING to do with a Zoot Suit. The Zoot Suit has more in common with Art Deco. Not some hand painted, hippy dippy looking Russian egg garbage. Ugh.

Besides, zoot suits actually looked cool. I mean, Cab could rock one!

"Show Stopper"? Yeah, I can see myself stopping the show to go toss that thing in the garbage can and then I'd go get a decent Les Paul.

I don't get ALL the hate. It sure looks like shit. The thing worked much better on the SG body shape (I actually thought those didn't look bad at all), BUT it actually is a good way to build a non tone-absorbing body.

I mean, these guitars probably sound pretty good with the right electronics. They won't sound like a Les Paul is expected to, but they don't look like it either.

But they do not look good, and probably weight A LOT if the body isn't thinned out enough.

They build this crap on their USA assembly line, taking up production space. Meanwhile, us lefties can't get a Explorer, Flying V, or even a USA LP Jr/Special.
