Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin
So they take a BFG and give it the Liberace treatment. Really Gibson? That's the best you can come up with? Henry should really consider dumping his R&D and marketing teams. Its obvious from that guitar that they are smoking way too much weed over there. Hey guys, why do you think they call it dope?
It doesn't appeal to me visually for several reasons, but, besides that, why call it "Zoot Suit"? There might be a way to do something that more closely resembles that actual late 1940's Zoot Suit era aesthetic that might actually work (although, probably never as right as an ES-300 or something from that time ). But, I'm probably overthinking it...
You are right. That paint job has NOTHING to do with a Zoot Suit. The Zoot Suit has more in common with Art Deco. Not some hand painted, hippy dippy looking Russian egg garbage. Ugh.
