• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Looks amazing! Good decision to only go for the light aging. Can't wait to see more pictures or maybe even a video!!

What a great place! I tell you what: most detailed knowledge reg. Vintage Les Pauls I got from this forum - which means from it´s members.I want to say thank you, too. For all these awesome comments. But first and foremost Revolver1 who took the long way from London/England to O-Burst-Dorf/Germany, trusting me, letting me deconstruct and reconstruct his beloved 1956 Reissue; documenting and sharing this journey and making it a crazy and beautiful, interesting and literally epic ride. Thanks, John. And y'all: Dankeschön!

The big thing I love with the finish here is how much it changes in the light. The top and the back. In the walk around video Florian did for me, the back appeared alot more glossy. I think the camera under the lights here is picking up the scuffs more so than it appears in real life. And you can see in some of the other shots where you can see a bit of the sides, just how dark it can appear in certain light situations.

Fuggin A!

That thang does it for me.

What a beautiful beast.

Hope it drips with tonez.

I just want to lick it.

Ren's Tone Tip 'o The Day: Put it back in its case each day with a freshly filled ashtray full o butts.

Get it right and it will fill ALL of the senses!

Thank you to everyone for all the kind words, very much appreciated.

So I'm all booked and packed, ready to fly out tomorrow. Really looking forward to this and to see Florian again, I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about. It feels very much like the journey is coming full circle, what a way to do it.

Florian has very kindly said he will spend some time with me so we can run over the set up. I'm very keen and interested to learn his approach, so that will be really cool and a privilege.

Should be back in Ol' Blighty on Tuesday evening.

Then I guess the full report will be due in.

That is absolutely stunning. The ageing looks fantastic and the 'burst' neck might just be the signature look of this guitar.

Congratulations to you both (Florian on the incredible work and Revolver1 on commissioning it and now owning it!)

Am I the only one waiting for a happy ending here? 😇
