Old music store decals on the back of headstocks?

I always dig seeing old music store decals on the back of headstocks. I'm looking for pictures and would love to see some! Anyone have any to share?

It's kind of like back in the day where they used to put the dealers decal on the back of the car. You'd never get away with sticking one on the back of somone's luxury automobile these days.

Do you keep the decals on your vintage guitars or take them off? :hmm

I'm old and senile but I've never seen such a 'thang.

Can you post an example?

And probably if I had bought a guitar with a sticker on the headstock I would most likely take it off and maybe stick it back on the receipt or some such.

I've had a couple guitars in the past that had stickers on the back of the headstock but those said Made in China.

I've seen plenty. No examples to hand, but old Martins sometimes carry a dealer name like these:

Many would not come off without some finish damage. I would never remove one anyway.
I have seen modern stores add their sticker to a vintage piece, and I would work to clean that shit off.

And some old stores used thin brass plaques.

Some classics from Bergstrom's Department Store in Honolulu. Travel to a distant island on a steam ship and buy a ukulele made in Pennsylvania.

Or maybe one made in Hawaii.

Sound Exchange in Chattanooga, TN, used to have these little stickers. I never bought from them but saw them in the store. I think a place in my hometown, Knoxville, TN, did it as well.

The '62 Ampeg Jet that I used to own had a plaque from a dealer in Maine on it. Very cool!
