• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have been stopping and reading threads here for some time. It helped me a lot when I finally started to look for my first Lester. I have played the same Strat now for twenty years. I've always wanted a Les Paul but could never find one I could afford that wasn't all beat to hell. I walked into one of my favorite music stores yesterday and there it was. I wanted it before I even played it. A 96 Standard in Hertiage Cherry. They only wanted $1299. I ended up getting it for $1250. I thought that was a steal considering the great condition it is in. Plays very well also, I can't put it down. I'll try to post pic's soon.

I had to have a good Strat and a Lester. I can't see how you can cover all the bases in rock and blues. I love the sound of both guitars.

Congrats and welcome! Strats (and Teles) and Lesters are natural combinations. Gotta have both, in my book!

Of course, you realize that pictures of your new baby are now mandatory on this forum! :lolspin Guitar porn is authorized here!
