Hi guys!
About 6 weeks ago I asked for help finding someone who could
do a superb makeover on my Jimmy Page authentic series..

Anyway I got in contact with Florian Jäger from Germany.
Check out www.jaegerguitars.com for more info..
His work looks GREAT and I was pleaced when he told me he could take my guitar right away..
The makeover in short:
full body refin. with nitro laquer, weather checking plus a faded burst.. JP style..
Reshape the maplecap to vintage topcarve contours.
Replace the board with brazilian rosewood.
Vintage inlays..
Replace the plastic nut with a bone nut.
Remove the trussrod condom..
Restamp the COA on the headstock
Hmmm.. I think that's it...

And today he sent me the first picture of the makeover process..

Step 1:The hardware is removed..
Next move will be the strip..

It will be interesting watching your updates on Florian's excellent, (future) work.

Some folks here will still think the guitar looks fine with the existing refinished top... But we know you cannot 'live with it'.

Ah, looks like a German workshop. EVERYTHING neatly in it's place and clean and orderly.

Wow, so Florian only has a six-week backlog? That's awesome, he does great work.

Beautiful work Florain!

I really like the workbench, it's like a piece of art. I may have to "borrow" some ideas for my workbench.

Anytime! You´re very welcome. The front is a veneer of macassar ebony, the drawers indian ebony. No brazilian; I need this for other jobs

What type of top is this? Is it riftsawn?

I love the detail, and vertical grain, was wondering what particular cut of wood it may be?

What are Jaegerguitars thoughts about that tail piece location?
