I love my LPCustom, but love my Strat and Tele just as much. I use all three all the time, and probably spend the same amount of time on all. Who else is a 50/50 Gib/Fen junkie?

It took me awhile, but I've finally found a Strat that I like. It's an American hard tail with Kinmans. I still have some difficulty with the different scale, and I haven't quite gotten it setup the best, but I can now get those delicious Strat tones. I still go more for my 335, and my favorite player is still the Hamer GT, but the band really likes it when I pull out the Strat, and some songs just demand it. I have a custom one off korina V on order from Hamer that I'm hoping can get into hum and single territory with some clever wiring and switching.

I use LPs, SGs, Strats and Teles in the Studio but live only one guitar cuts it for me...a Les Paul....

Count me in. I'm finally starting to play my Fenders again after playing the LP pretty much exclusively for a year (I blame Tim!;) ).

My R7 gets the most attention lately, but that’s partly because it’s my most recent purchase. I suspect many of you are the same – the newest guitar gets the most playing time. But I do play my Strat and PRS very often. And when my Lentz T is done, it will be my favorite, but I’ll still have a need for my other good guitars.

When I quit electrics back in 1982 or so, I sold my Les Paul and went strictly acoustic. When I got back into electrics, I bought a Strat first for economic reasons. Eventually, I got into the LP again.

As a home-bound jammer (poser), I reach for one of the Pauls first most every time these days.

LP live, mostly. Been mixing it up a lot recording for jams lately tho, which is fun. Gotta go do some tracking with the P90 Vee here in a minute as a matter of fact =)

I'm a 85/10/5 Gibson/Fender/Other guitar guy. In terms of amps, now that's a different story - about 90% Fender! :dude

I play my LP's all night, with my Tele standing by in case I break a string (which I never do)

I really like Fenders, but they just feel way too different and I just haven't gotten to the point where they are as comfortable to play. I will never sell my Tele though. It is fun to play for certain things, or just for a nice Tele sound.

As far a Strat style guitars go, I've owned a couple, but found the G&L just as good sounding, but more comfortable for me to play.

I've always been primarily an LP kinda guy. But...A few months ago I put together a hardtail strat. Well...warmoth body and Strat neck. I took my time getting it how I wanted it. LP's have a 12" radius so I looked for a Strat neck with a 12" radius and found one. I also wanted it to be Rosewood fretboard. I went with a Burgandy Mist hardtail body I got from Warmoth's thrift shop. VERY nicely done. I've now settled on Callaham Pickups. Initially I had Texas Specials but they were just too muddy. I wanted a Classic Strat sound. The Callaham's deliver that VERY nicely. I suspect I'll stay with them until Tim makes some single coils.

A couple of other little things...I went with a brdige saddle spacing that is slightly wider than modern Strat's. This makes it a little uncomfortable for most Strat players but just right for me. I also have a Master Tone and a Master Volume. I left off a tone knob so I could move the knobs down away form the strings. I'm always turning down the volume by accident when I play a normal strat.

Since I have this guitar I'd say I now play about 40/40/20...LP/Strat/Acoustic. If Fender made strats like this more LP Players would buy 'em. Also, I find since I play a regular church gig and play a lot more than I used to I don't really notice the difference in the scale length as much anymore. I moved up from 9's to 10's on my electrics a few months ago as well.

I've had various Telecasters and Strats since about 1977. Usually they saw minimal use until 3 years ago when I got a particular V necked '56 Tele w/staggered pole pu. I now play it 80% of the time, with Gibsons being taken out for the occasional Rock or Blues gig.
