I did say blingy. trip to Chuck Levins basement a long time ago . Sorry for the poor pic.

THat looks like a diamond in the headstock?

Is that the one that came with the accompanying diamond ring? If so, I hear the ring is as much sought after as the guitar. Very blingy!

PPGF,

That has to be the coolest special order CS I have seen. Positively unique.

Here's a 1997 Fender (Fred Stuart) Custom Tele I used to own - quite a unique one-off guitar with a large birdseye neck/ebony board and a very lightweight one piece ash body.

Chris,

Ever since you sent me a pic of that one a long time ago, I have always thought it looked like an Aborigine Fender, the dots remind me of face painting styles. It's an "Aussie" Fender through and through. :)

Now that you mention it, I can see that Stephen... I always thought it looked a bit too 'country' for my liking :peace2

1991 CS '57 RI by John Page. A tech was about to part it out, so I bought all the parts and resurrected it. Neck pup had gone south & I had a friend re-wind it 4me. That was about 20 years ago....

Great feeling V-neck, but it had dinky frets that I never got along worth, so I refretted it w/ 6100's. :jim

Sounds great, extra sparkle/spank from the real Danelectro lipstick tube PUs.

The new Strats with lipstick tube PUs have Fender made version, shorter in length, so not what SRV's nor this homage to Charlie's Guitars (Charlie made SRV's) have in them.

Have not played Dano versus Fenders side by side nor through the same amp...but if they got close, it will sound great.
