Okay so I've gone down the rabbit hole of the above rare beastie hunt and hopefully will eventually find one.
Last seen from the late Memphis factory(strains of 'Walking in Memphis' are in the brain now) and not a hint of any new production of these beauties coming from Nashville CS any time soon.
Can survive with my '59 reissue for the time being(a great gat) but want a block inlay with the longer neck(fat) in a cherry woodgrain finish............haven't owned a cherry since my '69 SG in the early '70s, long gone unfortunately.
Am trying every angle with CS, emailed them a month ago with no reply to date so contacted my go to dealer in the US(re a M2M) to see if they can get anywhere with the powers that be...........we'll see, but I'm not holding my breath.
The late '60s ones just don't do it with the narrower nut so the internet gets a hammering in the search of the elusive prize.
On it goes.
If any of you are lucky enough to own one of these chime in.
