I've owned a Two Rock and Bludotone, this has been my go to amp for about 5 years now. Not an original but a great clone.

Didn't hear anything worth a damn.
Yeah, and if you happen to try and listen to the whole series of videos, you just might have the thought of tying Henry Kaiser to your bumper and driving until there is just a loose rope left…or maybe that’s just me. ?

I've got a VVT X40. It's a 20 pound 40 watt HRM based head on a Thiele cab with an Eminence Delta Pro 12A speaker. I'm on the fence about the speaker.

Let’s get a good example from the horses mouth:

(Never gets old ?)
Love Henry Kaiser. One of the coolest guitar players out there. The Deep Unreal is fantastic. He did a great album with David Lindley as well. Super underrated. Thanks for sharing.

The - op is long gone but running a Line 6 into the front end of that rig… Almost like he was trying to bait this crowd.
I had an L6 and it was handy for quiet stuff but once it got loud went to hell. Not what I would suggest for putting a rig like this with a reasonable expectation of getting anything tasty.
I did like built in wah though. The best I ever heard really.

I finally built my own #102 based Dumble clone earlier this spring. I bought the chassis in 2007, it was the only one I could find at the time. I spent a lot of time over on the Amp Garage absorbing information until I felt confident I could pull it off. Mark Kane also gave me some pointers years ago. Tried to use NOS CF Piher resistors where I could, as well as MF Dale, Beyschlag, & Roederstien resistors. 6PS Orange Drop capacitors. F&T Electrolytics. CTS pots, including a NOS 5 turn CTS pot for adjusting the bias. All jacks are Switchcraft. Heyboer transformers, even the old Radio Shack transformer to run the relays just like Mr D did. NOS Cinch power tube sockets. Tried to follow the correct lead dress, which is important.
It turned out great. I have about 200 hours on it now, and it keeps sounding better. It was really bright after I built it, but after around 100 hours the amp started to break in and sounded warmer and richer.
