Can anyone give me some history on my black '93 LP Studio - Limited Edition?

Hi folks,

I just acquired a beautiful black LP that I had never seen before and wondered if any of you knew some history on it.

It's a '93 Black Les Paul Studio and please take a look at the truss rod cover...it says "Limited Edition 070 0f 100". I'm wondering if this cover is real and if there are 99 other editions floating around out there:)

The guitar sounds awesome and plays like a dream. It's a heavy 9.5 lbs with an ebony fingerboard. I'm assuming the body is mahogony.

Please let me know if you have any additional info and/or history on this model Les Paul, I'm very curious if it was only offered in '93.

Thanks!
Rod

I’ve never seen that on a truss rod cover, but sure seems like a Big Al question. Love the p90s, and studios are solid instruments. Congrats and enjoy. Looks like you have cool amps as well.

It may be a FSR made for a large retailer. Note the P90 soapbars, not at all common on early 90's Studios, which was a great time for quality. Cool guitar.

The 1993 SG Standard Korina Limited Edition came with this kind of trussrod cover, only 500 were made.
This one is the number 1.
