Does anyone know what this occasional specification on Gibson Burstbucker refers to?

I've read about some guys refering to it as recourring on above average BBs, I have it on the BB#1 I took out of the neck of my Oxblood, and it did sound pretty good but not in the league of the boutique one I have in it's place now.

I'm asking because I'm planning to sell the Burstbuckers and I'd like to gather as much information as possible.

Thanks a lot guys.

The P.S. is the initials of either the person who wound it or put it together.

So, nothing special about it then?

I wondered if I could scratch a few extra bucks out of it, but who cares :)

for me, i usually keep the stock parts of the guitar, just in case if i ever had to sell it i would put it back to stock and keep the mods. just because i will probably use them on the next purchase or make more money selling the mods separately

I know, but I don't plan to sell this guitar at all, and the pickups I have now are well renowed and a definite improvement over the stock ones.

Plus, I'm in the middle of a bad gas attack when I don't know it I need more an acoustic guitar (I have none) or a P-90 equipped Les Paul. I could get a junior and actually buy both..

Hello, The P.S. initials mean: Pickup Shop.
Wound by PS = Wound by Gibson Pickup Shop.
These pickups are standard for Custom Shop instruments.

The Gibson Pickup Shop uses Swiss-made Meteor ME-301 coil winders. These are historic winding machines; Gibson has used this style of winder since the 1950s, continuing into the 1950s and 1960s, and has used these items exclusively since the late 1960s. These are highly accurate precision winders capable of handling the simultaneous winding of a larger quantity of coils.

Spam bot engaging in thread resurrection..?

As mentioned above, the correct answer is P.S. are the winder's initials.

Apologies: I forget her name offhand; she's been identified elsewhere...
