• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Forum member Gaston Gagnon was kind enough to send me several pics of 9-0910. I like this pic of Gaston in 1978, the best! :dude:

In 1991 I bought this Burst, and shortly after I sold it [through a good friend] to Slash.
Thanks Gaston! :salude
And how about some details or stories? :hmm

The best burst I've ever owned! and was bought from the original owner, right here in my hometown.
Made a few albums with it...
Hear it's tone through a '61 brown Fender Deluxe (xtract from a recording of 1980)

and this recording of D'icitte in 1981: 9 0910 through a '68 plexi 50Watt.

When I knew (years ago...) that Slash bought it from Tom, I was more than happy to know that 9 0910 was in the hands of someone as great as the guitar is!

I sold it to Dave DeForrest (Guitar Trader in 1982...)

Thanks Tom for putting this up!

Wow, story and sound clip! :dude:
Couldn't have done it without you, buddy! :salude

I'm supposed to get a copy pretty soon, of a live TV show we did in 1981; 9 0910 all over and also playing my 59 "V" on one song!
(never taped it then...).

I have some recording of 9 0910 plugged in my 50Watt plexi Marshall (I'll try to post it, you'll hear the difference through this amp compared to the Fender amp.

First clip is from "Scènes de la vie conjugale" on Plume Latraverse's Chirurgie plastique album.(1980 release)

Second clip (with the Marshall) is D'icitte blues benne in 1981(with co-guitarist Jacques Savard).

Would be cool if Slash (or one of his friend here...) could post a clip of it! and why not a recent pix of it?

fast ricky love, frazettafan: thanks for the compliment!

Naw Soldano16, I'm from Sherbrooke since my birth... but played with a lot of musicians from Montreal in "my days"...

Hell Yeah!!! This sounds great! That is one gorgeous guitar! Gaston is that 50 watt Plexi a lead model? What year? What year was the cab?

The amp was a model 1987 50Watt Lead serial #29612, and the cab was a #1960B serial: #139494, from 1968 or 1969 I think.
I had two 50Watt heads, but was using only one and keeping the other one just in case... anyway, the one with the missing logo was sounding so much better than the other one!

Ain't that precision or not? :laugh2: Would you believe that I still have all the info of every piece of rig that I bought since day one...
