I am afraid of stands also. Although it's cumbersome, a hard case is the only protection.
Fell off the wall! But the hanger didn’t fall off so I still don’t understand how it happened I’m very careful about placing them in the hangers… In any case it’s fully insured and the repair was fully insured so I gig with it all the time and I try not to be paranoid but this has happened to me before and as Ian always tells me, anything can be fixed!
Heritage musical instrument insurance is the best. No deductible and they cover the full cost of the repair and the full amount of devaluation. If you are comfortable sharing...how much does insurance pay for a headstock break? 50% due to loss in value?

Your photo, Reminds me how I failed to buy the Jeff Beck Esquire when they came out.I like to live dangerously, I'll never stop hanging them LOL!... easy access and I smile every time I walk in the room..... honestly I've been hanging them for 30 years, never had a problem... until now, ugh!... hopefully will never have a problem again

Yup. Just an estimate for the repair and an estimate for the Devaluation and all covered in full, no questions asked no appraisal needed. Granted I’ve been with them many years but Ive heard others with similar experiences.I have heritage, but have never made a claim. Did they just take whatever devaluation number you gave them?
I have always loved the look of guitars on wall hangars and would love to have mine like that , except the worry of them falling down . So right that you can't beat the visual treat of seeing some beauties on wall stands .I hear you! But seeing a bunch of Les Pauls side-by-side on the wall is a visual treat if not a stupid one lol. But I’ve had dozens of guitars through the years and hung them all on the wall without ever any problem but of course the one that has to fall through all of these guitars and all these years is the vintage one! But I already broke the headstock on it seven years ago falling off of a stand lol. It’s recent break happened a couple of months ago so thankfully it’s been at pitch and played every day for the last two months and seems like a good solid repair!
You and me both brother . I would be paranoid of them falling . Better safe than sorry .Im a stand guy wall hangers really mess with my phycological well being , not that it's great to begin with !
