Some chipping around the input jack, and elsewere seems to show some white wood under the burst. This could bode well for originality. Looks like a Burns of London finnish. The Brits and the Irish love their green, pehaps these were specially ordered for import to the UK. ala the Fiesta Red Hank Marvin strats. I"ll bet it's got some "Wild Dog" tone regardless..

Early 60's Epi Sorrentos came in an "Olive burst" finish (got two) that is a very subtle shade of light brown/greeen that looks cool. This is "in your face" green, can't say it does anything for me.

Considering the age of this guitar, is it possible it began life as something other than Kermit burst and eventually ended up there. (I mean aging, not refin)

I don't think so. Clear lacquer yellows, so blue guitars turn turquoise green, BUT I can't think of a color that when yellowed would look MORE green...
