Has anyone ever seen one of these guitars without the dual stamped serial numbers? visually seems to be what it claims to be, (cut away, Brown access covers, quilt) however have not looked at the pickups / in the cavity.

Thank you,

There is a lot of variation- artist freebies- employee guitars. There can be writing in the neck PUP cavity.
Nothing is unusual though.

Is there no serial number whatsoever, or is it only missing the 4-digit, secondary number? I have several Heritage Series in my records that did not get the secondary number. If it doesn't have the 8-digit number, it could be a Heritage Series Award model. Does it have gold hardware? Are there any signs of ever having the small, oval shaped pearl plaque on the back of the headstock where the serial number would normally be?
