I know im not the only one here who loves the R9's from these years. Historic accuracy aside, I realized theres good wood from every year but something about these was special. The tops, wether they be plain or flamed, were beautiful and THAT COLOR.
Does anyone know why they cant paint them like that anymore?
Well anyhow, lets see em :)

For sure ultra.
I overheard someone yesterday talking about a bunch of guitars that got wet.

Just beautiful.....the reds, browns, yellows and orange shades they used during those years are truly remarkable.
I read somewhere that the guy painting them during 99'/early 00' passed away?

That is sad.. I can't begin to think about how that must feel, let alone the people who have lost everything :-(

Those '99 plaintop DB were some really nice tops!

Mine is one of my best players and my main gigging guitar.
