• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and now have to move to a new host. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Anyone else think that these two examples do not match the original?
Carve, color and cutaway ??

As a matter of fact .... The tops by enlarge surpass the original. As a matter of fact the aging is quite good and as a matter of fact the neck shape is quite accurate. :salude

But as a matter of fact the world judges everything through the eyes of a crude slightly blurry iPhone photo. :bigal

Man, I love this guitar. I have always had a thing for that faded top. What a beauty.

That's a Big ol' 10-4 Joe. I've had an aged/signed one ordered from wildwood for a month now. Tighten up on signing these bad boys so I can stroke that player.:dude:

The ones I have seen that have been photographed well are pretty killer.....as a matter of fact. My intent was just to show the progress of production. Like I said Joe, I hope you didn't mind. :dude:

I've just seen and played the VOS Skinner Burst and IMO it's looks, feels, sounds and plays amazing. The wood grain and figuring/flame in the top was killer. The neck was super comfortable, super fast and very easy to play. The color was IMO the best I've seen Gibson do on the CC/artist run of the lemons so far.

Oh and the best part of it all is that the tone was incredible. Not sure how well they matched the pickups to the original but IMO Gibson did a great job with these pickups. Very clear, articulate, sustain for days, aggressive sounding when needed and very balanced overall.

Just a killer guitar IMO. I plan on picking one up if possible.

I would post some pictures of mine now but I can not do attachments..

:photos

I believe you have to use an external hosting site (like Photobucket for example) to post pictures. You can't do it directly from your pictures saved on your computer or cell phone.
