• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Nice! That's a beaut!

I am having fun following this thread and seeing the other tops out there. I hope everyone's plays and sounds as good as mine does!

Another amazing top. :ganz Anyone notice that these sound a bit trebly and bright, or is it just mine (VOS)?

I've been commenting on that to friends. It's much brighter sounding than my Warren Haynes LP. While it is bright, it's not thin. I'm really really enjoying the sound, especially since it gives me two different sounding LPs.

Absolutely loving MK100

I have noticed something with the volume pots on mine. It may just be 50's wiring, which I am not used to yet (my other Gibsons don't act this way). It's a pretty distorted sound from 10-8, then gets VERY clean around 7. By 4 or 5, it is very very quiet, almost as if the amp is on its lowest volume setting.

Is this normal tapering for 50's wiring?

I made my first demo ever, so be kind!

I only have my iPhone, so it won't be perfect and the mic clips a bit.

Here is MK100 through my Savage Rohr 15

Great pictures!

By the looks of it, some MKs come with fatter frets than a standard '58 Burst while others appear to have skinnier R8 type frets?

I know Mark had his refretted with fat frets - Dunlop 6100 type fat - the nibs have also been removed

Also, a few seem to have nibs, while others don't

How does an Aged and Signed neck differ to a standard R8? Still as fat??

Anyone's thoughts on this??
