Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
No worries.
Lollar says to set theirs as close to the strings as possible without them actually touching the strings when you press the highest fret.
But when I do that, the neck P-90 seems much louder than the bridge. So I go for setting the neck 4/64 and the bridge 2/64 away from the strings...
I haven't posted here in ions and this thread is nearly as old. Haha. But just in case anyone would like info on this, I've had both Lollar 50s winds and now Throbaks in my R4.
A few details: The Lollar 50s winds are almost off the shelf, but Jason's crew was gracious enough to wind the bridge...
A most coveted version of these great pedals.

A pic:
These are mint out of my Gibson R4 with buckers. It took a very pricey set of ThroBaks for me to replace these nice Gibson pups.
Not a blemish on them, perfect working order. Leads measure 7.5 inches for bridge, and 12.5 inches for neck.
$189, shipped via USPS Parcel in the Lower 48 U.S...
Such a cool looking fiddle, and kinda a bargain.
Tell me what those mini type buckers sound like, if you please. I'm thinking the two pickup format.
And are they a pain in the butt to play sitting down? They look kinda awkward to handle, but cool as all get out.
Just kind interested in...
Just saw this on my DVR. Nice guitar work, and nice guitar. Black Johnny A with a Bigsby, with gold back and sides.
Any of you know this artist? Checked out his stuff on iTunes. Seems worth a buy.
My Silver Jubilee 2554, which I posted about a few times now, sorry, seems to be sounding a little sweeter as I play through it for the better part of a week.
This is a few days after a tube change too, not a sudden change after the tube change. More bottom mostly, allowing me to use a lil more...
Was biasing them into my Silver Jube 2554 last night and one came in 45.0 mA and the other 35.5. I went ahead and biased them at 70 percent mpd.
(One actually ended up at about 65 percent mpd and the other 75 percent. I just split the difference.)
Checked them against a pair of cheapie...
I paid a little more than I wanted to, but damn is this thing vintage cool sounding and a great investment. The 2554 model from 1987.
I'm mostly a Fender guy, but this is one fun new patina.
Anyone else own a Jube?
