• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

yes and the overall height of the P90. I have a les paul special and a junior w/ p90s and haven't found much info . Thanks
No worries.

Lollar says to set theirs as close to the strings as possible without them actually touching the strings when you press the highest fret.

But when I do that, the neck P-90 seems much louder than the bridge. So I go for setting the neck 4/64 and the bridge 2/64 away from the strings when you press the highest fret.

From there, I adjust each polepiece to taste, basically following the radius of the neck.

I've had three sets of Throback pickups. One came in a LPC I bought, one a friend gave me, and I bought a set. I sold all three within a month or two of owning them. I wouldn't buy anything from them but people seem to love them, so I'm probably wrong.

I have had two guitars with Lollar P-90s. An old ES-330 that someone had put Super Distortion pickups in and costed me $450 and a custom made one of a kind CR4 that I ended up selling to the guy in the food fighters.

The Lollars (IMHO) are a little more hi-fi for lack of a better term than the old ones. I really like the way they sound, especially when recording because they have a little more clarity, but they are less raw, so some may not like that.

YMMV.
