• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • Please support our Les Paul Forum Sponsors with your business - Gary's Classic Guitars, Wildwood Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, Throbak.com and True Vintage Guitar. From personal experience doing business with all of them, they are first class organizations. Thank you!

Why I prefer 55hz Celestions, and when they may be right for you.

Very sweet!

And thank you. It's taken me over two decades to get there. Many others have come and gone over the years, but the current line up holds all my favorite speakers I have ever played through.
A very early G12H, before they had the now iconic green plastic magnet covers, just a sticker.

Back to 55Hz speakers, here is a rather unique one, it is a T1886 (G12H, 16ohm) from 1972. Interesting features include a 4 ridge spider and unusual bass cone code of 102/30 not 014. However, it’s a pulsonic cone and correct for this speaker.

Forgot , I had a Fane🥳 Couldn't tell you the model only, that it has a cast frame and a pulsonic cone. That's
probably the reason why, I got it. Also posted a "Few" Bees in the Tech area.
