Okay, I collect, buy and trade cool guitars just like all of y'all do.
But I don't just buy 'em online I love the HUNT! So these days it's rare to just find a LP for sale used (Other than modern faded studios) So when My buddy says he has a LP Custom to sell me, I'm all about it!
Turns out it is a '74 custom black, with an invisible headstock repair and corresponding back of the neck refin/overspray. I snagged it. Not 2 hours later another guy I know calls me to sell a LP Deluxe he found in a storage unit. It's a heavily modded cherry top. Then Yesterday I get a call from a buddy of mine at the local Pawn shop saying they have a LP coming out. A RARE standard model in TSB! All three guitars are from '74, one of each model (Deluxe, custom, standard)
Statistically I just had a 'once in a lifetime' LP buying weekend! The odds are astronomical that I'd find 3 LPs, but when you figure in that they are all vintage, AND all from the same year, AND all three models, the odds are just stupid.
They all have issues, but still fun guitars!
