I work for a Fender dealer and we got 1 in today. So of course we unboxed it and tried it out. I really liked it. The 15" and 10" together make a good combo, very full sounding. The stereo aspect isn't dramatic. Trem sounds very good. It's the same size as a Super Reverb and weighs about 50 lbs. I'd love to have one.

It looks like a cool idea. I just got rid of my Vibro King because it had one problem after another. Most were due to bad solder joints and as they were fixed things were good but others would pop up.

FMIC is more into making gear for people at home, which is fine if that's its base. They don't seem to be making things that can travel well or be left on for seven or eight hours daily.

I would like to try one of these but I wouldn't buy one until reliability improves.

Tbt I'd rather have another Magnatone Panoramic Stereo head. Stereo verb and trem sound alright coming out of a single stereo cab, but the sense of depth and movement is hamstrung. It sounds amazing coming through two cabs much farther apart.

If it works for you that's great. How often do you move it?

Update: the amp never even made it to Sales. We tried it out in the warehouse when it arrived for 5-10 minutes, and a day later another employee plugged it and a component failed internally (not just a tube), made a horrible loud buzz and it went back to Fender. So QC might not be up to snuff on these yet. I'd hold off on spending the $3k until more hit the market and see if this was an isolated issue or if they have things to sort out.

if stability for touring is an issue, that question is better addressed to john mayer, as he uses a dual professional on the dead gig.

I know John well, we went to college together. Last time I hung out a a Dead gig, he was using a Dumble, and I want to say an AC-30, but I could be wrong. I may have pics if I look back.

I don't need to ask him about reliability because my VK has told me all I need to know - a solder joint fails, it needs to be resoldered with old solder and is fine, then another one fails. I had the same issue with my 57 Twin reissue.

Both great sounding amps, but it got to the point that it just wasn't worth it.
