• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hi guys,
I'm going to be in the NY area with my wife in October and have a day to kill. Any cool stores in New York city that you could recommend?

Rudy's Soho or 48th street. Matt Umamov on bleecker. I really think Rudy's Soho has the best selection.

Lark St. Music is a must:

Vintage, rare, new and used guitars, amps & and other stringed instruments, including mandolins, basses, banjos, fiddles and more.
Specializes in old and vintage Martin, Gibson, Fender, Epiphone, Gretsch & archtop jazz guitars such as Stromberg & D'Angelico.

He's closed Saturdays.

30th street guitars by Penn Station & RetroFret in Bklyn. Southside is cool too. Ludlow guitars has a nice selection of some hip new stuff & used pieces, worth a quick look. And FYI Rivington gtrs isn't on Rivington st anymore

We Buy Guitars

There's Rudys, not many bargains there, but some nice stuff.

30th st

GTR store on 28th

Umanove has lots of acoustic guitars and ukes.

Rivington may have one or two interesting things to look at.

WOW no mention of Mandolin Bros? I know they may have lost some cred but they still have some good gear and are worth a trip to SI. And believe me there is not much on SI to make it worth going there.
