I have a set of the older 101+, the ones with the NOS wire. They are phantastic with their angelic top end and I really love them. Now I have an Tokai SG incoming and thinking about using the 101+'s in that guitar and put somthing different in my R8. I'm lusting for a tiny bit more of a midrangy sound with less top end and it's basically the Kossoff sound variety I'm after. Something like that from Jon and that would be perfect for my needs.

I put KZ115 into my CC#17. Felt like I got a new guitar, so powerful like Thor got the new hammer.

But it felt too much low end, I should have ordered with A4 / A5 instead of A2.

Great description as I feel the same with the SLE-101 Plus . Never have I had I pickup so powerful and so full of such rich tone . Next week I will be ordering a second set .That's how much I love these pickups from ThroBak . (my pickups have the A5)
