• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Wouldn't have thought of that one as a dance song, but according to the kids in the video...

That's rough, ready and rather good - thanks for posting.

Some good views of yet more weird and wonderful Koss-chords too!

It started out so out of tune, but when they hit the pocket, that song took off. They were all killing it! Thanks for posting!

another one here off same page

Man o man, that was superb. It’s amazing to me that a band so young at the time could come from such a deep place......Fraser is about 18 here. The other thing that slays me is aside from their obvious blues roots, nobody sounded like them before. They came up with an original sound. Sad how that particular bar has been lowered(see other thread heaping praise on the latest young Zeppelin prodigies)

Wow! Thanks for these. God, I love that band and you are correct about having blues roots but not sounding like anyone else.

I caught up on Kossoff late. But have become very taken with his tone and have watched most of the videos we have all seen. In the TV studio venues where some of the videos were shot live (and this one) the crowd is almost right on top of the band. Koss has his trusty Marshall which is probably one his 100 watt heads and 1 or 2 4X12"s. How is he getting such a great tone when he can't have his amp up vey loud or he would blow those kids in the front row out of their chairs? That and TV studios are strict about controlling volume level. Festival and concert venues the Marshall was probably dimed but not the TV studios. No pedals just guitar, cord, amp and speakers. Amazing!

Judging by the way that Simon Kirk was hitting the drums with the thick end of the sticks they were not exactly holding back on the volume! Like many of us of a certain age I imagine many of the kids that were in the audience are now suffering from tinnitus and hearing loss :wail
