  • WE HAVE MOVED THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER! Let us know how it is going! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

Hi. If its permitted I would like to have a thread for general Fender discussion.
Although I started with Gibson I have been using Leo's instruments almost as long and in parallel to Gibson ( As indeed with Jackson and Ibanez in the Naughty Nineties) Different Brushes so to speak for different strokes.
Might be an assembly point for Forum Refugee's to meet and diversify from.

That would be good, except that the Fender Forum is shutting down soon.

All Fender Forum members are welcome here.

"...The bad news is the elimination of this forum, TFF. It has been necessary to "trim some fat" in order to lower the cost of running things. Cafe Wah is probably on the way out, too.
In short, the new owners/administrators would like to welcome any here at The Fender Forum to come over & join the LPF. There's a place for you there."

Yes, sad to say The Fender Forum is on the way out.
Fender threads are certainly appropriate & welcome right here!

Absolutely no reason why the Fender Forum can't take root right here! We all love Fenders too!:dude:

I just scored a '54 reissue that looks much like the one that Joe B is playing. Mine is still shiny

That's a beauty!

I'm working pretty hard on this one (maybe it's workin' on me :hank) Craziest guitar I've ever had. I'm about 3 months into this, another "CS '54 NOS - 60:"

Chalk one more cowboy up in the Fender Strat team, fellows.

Actually my main guitar is a Fender American Std. Plays like butter and sounds like good bourbon.

Since we have no more Fender Forums, I think I'll enjoy it here.

CD,

How do you envision the Fender subset within the LPF? The F guitars have a voluminous history/following, much like the language of Gibson.

A subforum or a section formally dedicated to Fender would aggregate a lot here, since Gibsons and Fenders are Apples and Oranges, different guitars, both classic and excellent, with the same appeal to players, collectors, enthusiasts...
I'm all for it.

While I've been a member of both forums for years, I spent most of my time at TFF (even though I have twice as many Gibsons as I do Fenders). A special corner over here where we could congregate would be welcome...

Since there were two big forums dedicated to classic guitars, Gibson and Fender, why not make this one a Gibson/Fender Forum or something like that?

We'd all profit
