Could someone tell me if the 1998 R8's had the long neck tenon? I can't find this info anywhere. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, they did. I think the R7's, R8's and R9's have had them since the Historic Collection was launched. My '95 R7 has the long tenon, for example - I've checked.
