Hello LP Forum,
I am a 50s neck enthusiast and am looking for a Les Paul Studio with one. Of course, in recent years, Gibson has made mostly 60s necks (as if that's all people want). Which years did they make em with the big 50s profiles, if any? Thank you LP Forum, I wholly appreciate your knowledge!

My 2010 studio faded has a thin 50s rounded neck. I never noticed how thin it was until I measured it. Under .80 at the first fret. I like big necks, but never handled a neck so comfortable as this one

I also own a 2016 50s tribute, wich has a 50s rounded but medium-big. I like it, but I think it lacks something. Maybe the taper isn't good enough to me? Is an okay neck, not as fun as my thin 50s neck, but definetely not sterile, as I think the 60s necks are in my hands.

My 2012 50's Studio Tribute has a 50's size neck. Not as thick as my R7 but a nice full feel in my hands.

My 95 Studio has a beefy neck . It's a tone monster.
My 93 Studio is just a bit thinner with less shoulder . However the neck has been sanded to bare wood .? This one has a great tone but it's a bit quieter acoustically .

Thread resurrection. I’m looking at a ’96 and neck size is a question. My ‘91 is .831” and D shaped in general. @1st fret and profile wise, I’d call it medium to thin shouldered. I have an R6,7,8 and 9; profile, it’s nothing like those full C shouldered. I like 50’s C, wish the seller could measure it….
