• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

SG Jr is it real/genuine?

Got a serial # and closeup pic of the back of the headstock and the Gibson logo? How about control cavity pics? I'm also wondering about the replaced control cavity plate size and that it's not smooth, but has pebbles imbedded. Going to need a lot more pics.

hey, I've got an extra pic of the headstock/serial.
if I look to other 2016 models the 'pebbles' on the cavity-plate seem original to me. (?)

the guy asks 1000€ for this one, incl case.

advice?

Pretty sure that's a 2017 model. IIRC, 1st and 5th digit indicate the year made. Check the s/n on the Gibson site, they may be able to verify it.

Either that or the first two digits are the year, they were doing that for a while. Anyway, the guitar looks legit.

It's a 2016 (as confirmed by the 2016 stamp below). For 2014-2019 it was the first two digits that give you the year

From everything you can see in the photos is seems legit. Nice little guitar.

If you want more reassurance you can e-mail the photos to Gibson and they should be able to tell you if the model and finish match the serial number.

Based on all the photos shown its appears to be a legit 2016 as others have said. Not sure what the conversion is to USD, but here, State side they go for $900-$1000 on the used market. Great guitars, good luck!
