Seeking Value on Left-Handed '69 Les Paul

Hi all,

As many of you know, I'm more into '50s vintage Les Pauls, Historics and replicas, so the late '60s/early '70s Gibsons are not my area of expertise...at all.

I'm trying to help out a good friend of my brother, who is trying to sell some of his guitars due to health reasons. One of these guitars is a '69 left-handed Les Paul, as shown below. Here's info on the guitar, and note that there have never been any neck/headstock breaks, or any other notable damage (other than a little wear in the neck as seen in the included photo) according to the current owner:

"This is a 1969 Gibson Les Paul factory left handed.
The top looks to be refinished to a tobacco sunburst, the original tuners were replaced with metal Grovers, and the strap button location was changed leaving the hole where the original strap was located. Everything else is original, including the P90s and associated electronics.

Speed knobs are on the guitar, but the originals are in the accessory pocket of the case. And it has the OHSC with the band name DUST stenciled on top. This guitar was once owned by the guitarist, singer, songwriter of the early 70’s seminal hard rock band DUST, Richie Wise. Richie is a childhood friend of mine and sold me this guitar in 1972 when he moved to L.A. to become a record producer with Scotti Brothers."

If anyone has any thoughts on the value of this guitar, please indicate so in this thread, or feel free to PM me, or email me at pinefd@comcast.net

Thanks in advance!

Frank
