There are reasons guys like Derrick trucks have switched over to PRS amps and this is a perfect example. Here is the amp that everyone is talking about and the best kept secret around. You may find various head or combo versions of this amp however the paisley combo version if the most rarest and desirable version and impossible to find but we got one here at MMG. If you want vintage Fender clean tones all the way to Marshall Plexi and modern tones all in one box than this is it! This is the 2 channel PRS Custom 50 Combo Amp in the limited edition Paisley covering built for Sweetwater only and now discontinued. These amps were built for a short time in 2015 as a Sweetwater Exclusive and there were only 20 pieces were made for Sweetwater. This amp is part of the PRS CAD "Custom Amp Design" and are designed and built by Paul Reed Smith and Sewell Amplification at the PRS factory in Maryland. Doug Sewell's name is synonymous and know as a top boutique amp builder.
This is a desert island amp and can do it all. You can get everything from vintage Fender clean tones all the way to Marshall Plexi and modern tones. This is a working musicians amp with its closed back cabinet, Celestion Vintage 30 speaker and 50 watts it is loud and I mean real loud. But its also great in the studio and can be used as a head with your favorite cabinet as well. The amp is in as “new condition” complete with all factory paper work, hang tags, packaging, and shipping carton. With its beautiful paisley covering it looks like piece of fine furniture. Originally I bought 3 of these and sold 2 of them right away and this is the last one I have. I unpacked it and tested and took these photos and carefully put it back in its original factory shipping carton.
The Custom 50 Paisley edition was a Sweetwater exclusive in 2015 and there were only 20 combo amps in the run and they retailed for $2349.00 and there were no discounts on these amps and the price was set and protected by PRS.
