For the hive..

Can anyone tell me which make of pots were used in the run of CC#2's Goldies?
Despits all attempts to loosen them up they are still high friction and too hard to turn .. Would like any suggestions for replacing them with some that are still audio taper and very easy to turn like the early 60's are..
Thanks!

probably should just sell your GOldie to me...those pots will never loosen up, ha ha. JK, sorry for the sarcasm, just been looking for a Goldie for awhile.

Gibson uses some sort of CTS type pots I believe. I've found the CTS 500K pots I've been getting from stewmac have been pretty smooth.

Why not give it vintage pots? I have one guitar with mid-60s pots and many others with good replacements from several different sellers. None of the newer pots are like the old ones.
