I picked up a Vintage Guitar magazine at Barnes and Noble a few months ago, and saw an ad for the Paul Reed Smith Owls in Flight guitar. It was designed in collaboration with Sweetwater (how's THAT for a collaboration?)
It is personally crafted with attention grabbing exotic tonewoods, ultra comfortable neck carves and ear-pleasing custom electronics. The finest materials money can buy.
I might have to buy one, with its beautiful owl perched moon illustration on the headstock. You can't help but wonder if Alex Lifeson and Rush Fly By Night were an influence on the headstock design?
The fingerboards are also pretty good, as is the hollow body.
Have you ever bought an Owls In Flight guitar? Are they pretty good electric sounding? Please let me know, and feel free to post pictures if you have any.
PRS are pretty good guitars. Nancy Wilson and Howard Leese of Heart have played them, as have Joe Walsh, Greg Lake, Alex Lifeson, John Mayer and Cyndi Lauper.

If I ever save up enough money, I might have to buy this guitar and compose a Larry Carlton like jazz-rock instrumental on it. Looking at the prices, an Owls In Flight guitar is pretty cheap. Usually from around $100-$600. But I also saw one for $2000. Ow.
