Nice finish, shame about the guitar. A standard set-neck Firebird is defeating one of its major benefits for me, the through-neck is just magnificently wonderful :)
I'm thinking of doing an Explorer or Firebird from Precision Guitar Kits myself, and this has me leaning a bit more towards the Firebird. I am imagining how sexy it would look in a similar finish routed for Soapbars with black plastics, black body and neck binding, and an Ebony or Macassar Fretboard.
