NGD. 58 Reissue Plain Top 08, Pics added
Have not had a les paul in a few years and wanted a good player that would fit my budget. This is a 2008 R8 thats great in every way except I'm not crazy about heritage cherry, But my goal was to get a great player in good shape and i did that. so i may try and fade the color a bit in the arizona sun when it gets a little cooler. The Good part, Its 8.4lbs with a nice chunky neck. If i had to guess i would say about 9.25 to 9.30 first fret. Nice dark fret board. No buckel rash only one small nick on side of body. Very low action and plays like butta. I took it to cave creek guitars to have it looked over. Action was to low and strings where hitting pickups. He plugged it in and cranked it and smiled and said yup its a les paul. I sold my favorite amp a few years ago my Fargen mini plex so i went amp shopping yesterday and bought a Fender Basebreaker, Im a Marshall guy but could not afford another Fargen. So far I like base breaker i tried the 7 watt combo and 7 watt head and cab and went with the 15 watt combo with reverb. My favorite has always been R8 plain tops. Im happy to be back.
