I've been gassing for an ES-335 for years. So I traded my '07 CR8 for a brand new 2021 ES-335TDN.
After years of working for large guitar stores (and handpicking my guitars) this is my first online purchase and my first 'new era' Gibson.
When I opened the case, the first thing I noticed was the smell, nothing smells like a fresh nitro finish guitar. Second thing I noticed was the flawless top.
The feel is amazingly close to my mint condition 1957 ES-225T, both in neck shape and in factory fresh construction.
At first it felt a little stiff, some tweaking of the bridge fixed that easily. Typical of a new guitar, the wood still needs to come to terms with the fact that it's not a tree anymore and after about 10 hours of playing it, I am truly impressed...
