Hi guys,
Like the rest of you, I'm always trolling for new guitars - ideally at a good price. I was looking at Reverb this morning and happened to see what was labeled as a "Les Paul Studio" but in all my years, I have not seen too many that look like this. The combo of the natural finish, the inlays, the binding (if it is even actual binding) had me questioning. I bought it for $600 with a hard case shipped, but was curious if anyone had any insight to what might be going on here. Looks darn cool. Can't wait to play it - especially since that studio line seems to be getting discontinued.

The serial dates it as a 2012 it looks like.

Thanks for the help!

I know nothing but, dang, that's sharp!
Honestly - I was like... is that really a studio?! Looks waaaay different than the studios I have owned or noticed before...

for $600?! shipped?! with a vintage case?!

Sometimes my endless scrolling of Reverb pays off! Usually does not though :)

I think it'd look sharper with covers on the PUPs, but she's a looker!

I think I agree with you. I actually have two chrome covers sitting on my bench. I might toss them on and see how it looks once it arrives.

Hard to tell for sure from the pictures but the cream neck pickup looks like it might have hex pole pieces, I don't see screw heads sticking out, so a cover wont really work. I'd buy a cream dimarzio, like a super distortion and put it in the bridge pickup, have a double cream Les Paul.

It could be a faux binding on the body of the guitar with lighter coloured wood. I have a feeling also that the guitar might be stripped of paint. Maybe the owner was going for the Mick Ronson LP Custom look.
