Well I was able to put these on with the Tinypic link. Thanks for heads up on that. I don't think they came out the best this way, but I think you get the idea.

I got this '04 from Dave's Guitar in the fall. It weighs just under 9lbs and IMHO sort of looks a little like the "exquisite tiger stripe" LP black and white pic from the Wheeler book.

Hope you like the pics...

Reposting this final thought from my other thread...

Thanks folks for the positive feedback and to Moonpie for posting the pics (on the other thread). Its true, what I really liked about this one was the vintagey look to it. It plays beautifully too - a really effortless fretboard and neck feel.

Just a side note: I never would have seen/owned this instrument under the new Gibson guidelines, as I first saw the pics of this guitar on Dave's Guitar's website (back in the early fall) while perusing all the dealer sites just looking at all the Historics, as we all used to do, I'm sure. I wasn't really in the market for one - I had an '03 that was really nice, but I really wanted an ice tea, tight tiger stripe exactly like the one I saw on Daves Guitar's site - and had to own it. Subsequently sold my '03 to a very good friend of mine, who's very happy with it.
